Description
The timing of this traffic light has changed so that the current wait time to turn onto Pines has increased. To make matters worse when the light changes to green, it goes back to red after only 3 to 4 cars have crossed. People waiting to turn left out of Chapel Trail or right out of Estancia become anxious and frustrated by it and are rushing to cross before the light changes back to red.
Every day I can see this is an accident waiting to happen. The city should modify the light to give more time for a good number of cars to cross. There are constant near-miss collisions between those turning left out of Chapel Trail and those going straight or turning right out of Estancia.
Many Chapel Trail residents have resorted to turning right at the light and going West on Pines to make a U-turn. However U-turning into speeding Eastbound Pines traffic is an equally hazardous situation.
