Thanks Ravenclaw - your spot on in your assessment. The City starts removing the tree after the later of Three Kings Day or Orthodox Christmas (January 7th). There were a few days of soaking rain where we decided to keep the bucket truck off the green so we did not tear up the ground. Additionally, there have been a few imminent hazards that pulled the crew away. Unfortunately, since last week's storm the bucket trucks and crews have been busy cleaning up after the storm - removing broken limbs that are still within the trees and could fall. Last night's wind did not help either. We really do want to finish removing the Christmas tree but are balancing that against other safety priorities without expending overtime.
