This property has been reported previously. The lovely brick house next door is now for sale. The question, would someone want to purchase a house knowing that the house next door is unoccupied, abandoned, not maintained and has been this way for YEARS? Does this this sloppy home and property contribute to lower home values in our neighborhood? Yes it does.

A decade ago this house was occupied by a single woman, Betty Allen. About six years ago she disappeared and I was told by neighbors that they thought she had gone to a nursing home. The house has been unoccupied since and there is no one that I know of who knows what has become of Ms Allen. The house has become completely overgrown and can barely be seen from the street.

The taxes are paid though on the house by someone or some institution.
