Description

Construction on Sabine Street from Lubbock Street to Washington Avenue CIP infrastructure project was completed in late January. This included sanitary sewers, storm sewers, sidewalks, new concrete street, finished with repaving over concrete surface with the antique bricks.

The issue is: the contractor left in place all the barricades on all four streets ➖ Lubbock, Kane, Decatur, and Washington Avenue. This causes disruptions in traffic for motorists and pedestrians, bicyclists and people who are wheelchair-bound who must navigate around the barricades.

This is a life / safety issue.

Request: Will the Professional Engineer for City of Houston cause the contractor, Millis Equipment, to take down the barricades❓
