There is NO LEGAL WAY to get into the parking lot for the College St Post Office if you're coming from the south or west. The one way signs prohibit entry, the no left turn from the Northbound lane of College St prohibits entry. The area needs to be reworked so that people can LEGALLY enter the parking lot without making a UTURN or worse -- ignoring the signs. It happens daily and needs to be fixed.

The entrance off College Street was design by the Post Office. This is how they would like for their internal traffic to flow. Any changes would be at the request of the Post Office with approval being granted by GDOT, as this portion of College Street is a state route.

People used to could come in by turning left on college street into the post office. I don't remember any wrecks there and I walked past the usps as a child. I remember when college street would be backed up almost to tatnall square park because people would turn left into the post office and they had to yield to the other lane and only a few cars per red light was able to get into the post office.
So I think they did it to stop the backup of cars.
I think they should move the red light behind the usps college street entrance and have all 4 sides take separate turns and people can go right into the entrance without having to worry about other cars. It would have been better to move the red light back to the side road next to Washington Park.
