Is there any update as to when the lines will be painted? People are driving in the middle of the road and it is dangerous. With the vegetation starting to grow, people are not going to move over around blind turns.

We are working with the private vendor to establish a date. We anticipate mid-April to early May.

Why on earth is this taking so long? There's going to be an accident. This road is insanely dangerous right now without the lines. It seems like some drivers that are unfamiliar with the area are assuming that it is a one-way street. I've encountered several that are traveling directly in the middle of the road at 40mph, one even honked at me as if I were going the wrong way.

What is shortly? This is incredibly hazardous, I have been nearly run off the road by drivers on numerous occasions.

In the mean time, as we await early May please consider having a police presence there to encourage drivers to slow down, particularly near the curvy regions.

I agree with PerplexedRenter - if a squad car was present, maybe people would slow down, at the very least.

Please put in the budget at least bi yearly line painting. It is so difficult to drive at night and especially in the rain on our narrow roads with no clear visual edge on the right hand side and very faded center lines if at all visible.

The Department does do biannual line painting. This typically occurs in the fall, as this is around the time the Department of Public Works concludes their paving schedule, and the spring just prior to Memorial Day. Line painting cannot be facilitated once the temperatures begin to drop at night as the vendor can no longer guarantee the longevity of the product. This basically eliminates our late fall, winter, and sometimes early spring months. In some instances we must get the fall line painting in before DPW has concluded their paving schedule to ensure we get the rest of the roads painted prior to the cold weather. As stated previously, we are working with a private vendor in securing a date for our spring line painting in mid to late April. Thank you for your patience.

The line painting vendor has informed that we can expect their services sometime during the week of May 6th.
