There is currently a major reconstruction project along SW 17th (MacVicar to I470) scheduled for design in 2021 with construction in 2023 and 2024. This project is being funded by the Countywide half cent sales tax program. We realize that sections of SW 17th are in poor condition now and will continue to deteriorate. In 2018 we did a quick surface mill/overlay on SW 17th west of Fairlawn to hold the road until the reconstruction in 2023. More extensive repairs between Fairlawn and MacVicar (prior to 2023) may be necessary to address the current deterioration. We will continue to monitor the area.
