The Trustco bank is an offender every time it snows. We should give up trying to make them abide by the law and just clear the walk for them and bill them every snowfall.

You could try to find corporate contacts for Trusco and send them pictures and videos... But this doesn't address the underlying problem that we have a mayor who gets in front of the camera and acts a general who is getting the job done for her beloved citizens. Meanwhile, after every storm there are hundreds of walks that never get cleared. Crosswalks all over the city that never get cleared. Bust stops. Street corners without access to the street without going over icy snowbanks. You name it. The mayor should be in front of the camera calling out places like Trusco and CDTA, and her own departments who are not doing their jobs. All that being said this thread will probably be closed since it is not 24 hours since the storm ended, even though this is a repeat issue. The truth is, the city should be capable of driving or walking around Albany and seeing all these things themselves. Even with all the help of people pointing it out, you get crickets from the city. Thank God the city isn't in a snowyer climate with colder temperatures. We have been lucky with some of the warm temperatures and whatnot clearing out the snow from these storms.

Thank you for your concern about sidewalk shoveling. Per City Code, property owners have 24 hours after the snow fall ends to clear their sidewalks. If they do not clear their sidewalks, then DGS will clear and bill the properties accordingly. We will start clearing sidewalks tomorrow (2/14/19).

Well said by 'standing up for our Citizens'!! And guess what? It's not cleared again after this new storm, but then neither are MOST IF NOT ALL of the intersections within a 1/4 mile, SHAME ON current MAYOR.

Thank you for reporting this unshoveled or unsalted sidewalk. Since it snowed last night, the 24 hour timeframe property owners have to clear their sidewalks has reset. Therefor we are closing this request.
