My issue pertains to the Toilet Rebate Office. I started the process back in November to receive a rebate for switching to a high efficiency toilet. After completing the requirements, my application was denied. I tried to rectify the problem via phone and email . I did not get a phone call back from Ms. Leggett's Supervisor (who was on vacation) from our phone conversation on 12/21. Nor did I get an email communication back from my last correspondence (12/21 and 1/8). I would gladly forward those emails to whomever is interested or email directly any details to whomever will listen. This previous email summarizes the the problem:
'Ms. Leggett,
I tried to call back after our conversation on Friday, December 21. I was going to try to go to Home Depot to see what options I might have to return my toilet and possibly purchase another one later. It was then that I realized that we were instructed to mail our receipt in for the rebate program requirements. The receipt was not returned with my rejection letter (I only received the rejection letter, my rebate application, and my utility bill). At this point and time, I can't even return the toilet nor know how to explain all of this to the Home Depot manager.
I am asking that you reconsider my application. I have looked everywhere to find a published date for the program end and have been unsuccessful. In the short time that I inquired about the program (Nov. 18), answering the questions from your response (Nov. 19), and the Thanksgiving Holiday I do not feel like I was given appropriate notice that the program was ending Nov. 30 (or December 1, as stated in my rejection letter).'
To some, this money might not seem like a lot. As a teacher, this money would go a long way. and definitely was part of my budget to remodel our aged house. Thank you for your time. I hope we are able to resolve this matter as quickly as possible.
