Description

This is still very bad for pedestrians! Sidewalk is reduced to the 12" curb along east main, a very high pedestraian area because of construction, however there is still room for three card to park...? Should remove the parking to allow at least enough tomo for two people to walk out a wheelchair!

The side walk is closed to pedestrians. The intention isn't that you walk into the curb or into the street. It's simply closed. This sidewalk closure was supposed to be completed in November 2018.

If I recall the ordinance on right of way access used to require temporary sidewalk be provided. I'm not sure why that wasn't required as part of this right of way permit given the traffic on both the street and sidewalk on this area.

Agreed. It is ridiculous that 3-4 parking spots have priority over the access of hundreds of pedestrians.

It’s because Reza Rahmani owns the city. He can do anything he wants while he takes his time building.

It only took 8 months to reopen it. The city needs to manage better new construction approval and/or permits.
