Description

There are vehicles that frequently park along Pleasant Valley between Duraleigh and Poyner that make visibility incredibly low if you are pulling out of one of the apartment complexes. My fiancé has almost been T-boned many times leaving the nearest exit from our apartment onto Pleasant Valley, as it is completely impossible to see with cars and trucks parked so close to the intersection. I have seen someone almost get hit trying to cross the street from the Autumn Ridge complex to the other side of Pleasant Valley because of this as well. The cars park too close to entrances, and there are many large quasi-abandoned commercial vehicles that park alongside the street. These vehicles, which sometimes sit for months, take up parking areas that other vehicles (perhaps the ones parked a few feet from the intersection) could park in. Some of the commercial vehicles (18 wheelers) also are incredibly loud during the night, when they return to park. I do not understand why people are allowed to store work vehicles on a residential street and then hop into a passenger vehicle and leave the neighborhood! The whole street is overly congested. Both apartment complexes have ample parking for residents, so I know that they cannot be the problem.
