Thank you for contacting Pinellas County Animal Services about stray nuisance cats in your area. If you are able to provide an exact address of the person creating a public nuisance we will dispatch an Animal Control Officer out to educate them on county ordinances. Due to the fact that humane traps must be closely monitored for activity, animal services is unable to set and properly monitor them. However, you as a citizen may obtain a humane trap at your local hardware store for around $20.00 and trap the cats if they are coming on your private property. We ask citizens to set the trap at dusk and check it first thing in the morning. If a stray cat is caught, you can contact us as early as 7:00am to schedule a pick up. You do not have to be home when we pick up, you can leave a note on the front door giving us permission and we will remove the cat and leave your trap. These are community cats that have been, spayed and neutered. And up to date on their rabies and other shots. They are protected and i am their caretaker as they are registered with meow now. Since you can see that i feed them from my stairs because clearly u are on the next door property and had to look up and over . You would know that i properly care for them -why dont you come to my door and explain what your issue with these cats are like a human being rather than reporting online? These cats have been around for years and again are protected community cats.

Complainer doesn’t have respect for Catwood and that’s just sad because we have squirrels, black snakes, raccoons, coyotes, parrots, fruit rats, lizards, robins, blue jays, chickadees, possums, mockingbirds, etc... etc... Why out of all our wonderful fauna do cats get put on the ‘no go’ list’?
