Description
Some people walking dogs on the Simms Branch greenway trail near where it crosses Hiking Trail, at least in the afternoon, say around 3:00, have been letting their dogs run loose without being on a leash. One or two people do it and everyone else seems to think it's ok and more and more do it too. I was bitten by one that charged at me and had 3 doctors visits before it finally healed. Can animal control check on this? And I think more prominent signs (as opposed to the little icon at the entry at Hiking etc that no one can even see, let alone pay attention to, would help.

The flip side of this issue is the dog owner who uses a "run" exceeding the distance in which they can effectively control their canine. The long "runs" tend to obstruct the Greenway paths. Apparently dog owners perceive a Right-Of-Way for the entire length/radius of their dog's "run".
Try taking pictures but do not confront anyone. Then post the pictures.
The proper restraint of the dog should be important to the owner. I have a neighbor whose dog was properly walked with a leash. But the poor dog was still bitten by a copperhead. The snake was just off the pathway in the shade.
