I have observed these ongoing code violation reports and am bewildered not only by the fact that the problem persists but that it appears to be getting increasingly worse! It makes no sense to me that the surrounding businesses don't collectively object to the degradation of the area as it is overrun with drunk people loitering and trashing the landscape. But what's most bewildering of all is that the City doesn't do a single thing to establish and maintain a basic quality of life in our neighborhood by simply enforcing laws such as public drunkenness. Is it asking too much to have a clean and safe neighborhood? I do not feel safe and I am deeply discouraged by the unsightly conditions on 16th Ave. east of Main Street.
