Description

I am requesting that the city put a stop sign on each side of E 16th St by the intersection of 29th Ave and 16th St. It is an intersection families need to cross to go to a school located on the intersection of 29th Ave and 17th St. Families are afraid of crossing this street, especially at the time of drop-off and pick-up, due to cars speeding through this intersection, and because cars parked block the view of potential pedestrians. By placing a stop sign on either side of E 16th St and making this a 4 way stop intersection, potential accidents would be reduced and pedestrian families that commute by walking would feel safer coming to school.
