Description
At a Yale employee with physical mobility issues, I use a handicap scooter. the corner of Chapel and High Street outside of Starbucks (southeast corner) has a combination of cement and tar at the incline which is severely damaged. There is no handicap surface that all other corners have(the orange treaded inserts). I have asked the Chapel Street maintenance folks how this can be fixed, especially during the wet winter weather. They could not answer my question. I have gotten stuck on my scooter on the uneven pavement and have seen folks trip and fall, along with manual wheelchair users getting stuck and needing the assistance of good hearted folks walking on Chapel Street. Thanks for your attention to this matter. Charlene Senical,Yale Art Gallery 203-432-7881
