When the LIDL site plan was approved between both the Town of Wake Forest and NCDOT, it was required on both ends to restrict left turns out of the LIDL parking lot on Main Street. While I understand it is inconvenient as a driver, it improves the safety of the Main Street/NC 98 Intersection. Due to the large amount of left turns onto West NC 98 Bypass, the queue of vehicles often backs up beyond the driveway entrance of LIDL. Allowing left turns from this driveway would increase the risk of t-bone crashes, specifically for vehicles trying to get into the straight/thru or right lanes that may not be able to see traffic when a vehicle leave a break.
