It appears the culvert is collapsing. The eastern side has one half of the wall wall that has fallen, and now there’s a huge hole from the road down into the culvert within a few feet of the road centerline. I’m grateful for the cones, but I’m concerned that the integrity of the road is compromised and worried enough that we are now taking dell road south to Michigan Avenue to avoid going over this culvert.
Would appreciate an official assessment of safety and structural integrity. School busses drive over it four times a day.

I’ve taken a closer look and have pictures and video, but it looks like I can’t attach video.
This is a sinkhole that extends across at least half the road. The visible hole is just a small portion of the 15-20 feet of road which no longer has a foundation.
This must be closed immediately, in my inexpert opinion.
