We don't know why it is taking so long to address this issue. It will cause a major accident if something isn't done about this hole. It has been reported. Why it can't be addressed quickly might be a question for city officials in Atlanta, Decatur and Dekalb County. Sadly this section of town seems to have some very bad roads. Looking at the hole suggests the water line may be broken and the underpayment may be eaten away. That may be part of the holdup, scheduling water line repairs before fixing the hole. When a truck ends up in the hole and a water main gets broken, tell your county officials.
