Description

Bulk trash from Saturday’s community cleanup day is sitting on the side of the street. Foxes and other animals will get into this... there are also concrete blocks, a 20 foot fence rail and other objects that are left on the side of m street for city cleanup from the cleanup day. The day was a success but without the city’s help, we cannot take these to the dump... the fort rotten transfer station superintendent informed me that they cannot take residential bulk trash from community cleanup of public/city property. It’s therefore up to the city to help us. We are paying taxes and also cleaning the streets. There also remains construction debris up the street behind 1918 m street in the alley. Although I filed several 311 notices these were closed and the trash remains. It has been there for more than 6 months. If the trash issue continues, I will be presenting photos and 311 complaints that have been closed in an open forum for the city council’s supervisory committee for dpw.
