Eric, in my neighborhood there are several Verizon problems with cables. Comcast also has cable problems (wires=cables). I notified Comcast about a year ago.. specifically Jim Faulkner and he had someone check out my area... nothing was corrected and not one response from Jim Faulker. After the election and after the rain I am going to make a complete survey within about a three block radius from my house and take pictures and report and then go to district managers and the top echelon of Comcast. I really do not think Verizon cares.. they never did. You may also want to contact Rich Dwyer if there is a problem with cables and Public Service pole usage etc. Look at 13 Rock street in Jersey City... a disaster. Verizon is continuing to use the Public Service utility poles as a place to prepare and hang dozens of fiber optic cables for future use. All of these cables should be in our back yard, not on the streets this is a disgrace. If you see a Verizon installation you will soon become friends with the installer,he will be returning several times before he does it right. Also look at the building on the corner of Newark Avenue and Liberty Avenue, and see all of the cables going into the building in a haphazard way.. if I were the owner I would not put up with it.
The problem is so out of control and there years of abuse that I think a comprehensive neighborhood audit of all the address and poll numbers needs to be compiled and submitted through our respective ward council offices. Would be great if we had one day where several neighborhoods went out and built this list and we could get some press for it-- shame Comcast.
