Description

The intersection of 41, 841 and London Grove Rd is poorly configured, has poor lines of sight, heavy truck traffic, and is affected by sun glare. Cars trying to cross over 41 on London Grove Rd or 841 have to inch out almost all the way into the travel lane of 41 to be able to see oncoming traffic which is obscured by a hill and several buildings. Trying to turn left onto 41 North in the AM is a giant game of chicken. This intersection needs to be completely reworked and, given it's complexity, would be a prime candidate for a traffic circle. The circle would force traffic to slow (the limit is already an ignored 35mph) and would allow continued free flow of traffic but increase safety by eliminating direct crossing over of the road and left hand turns.
