Description
Jersey City needs to 1) fix the drainage issue in the large dog run in Hamilton Park and 2) enforce rules when it comes to bringing large dogs into the small dog run. This is a matter of public safety.
When it rains, the large dog run floods and owners of large dogs take their animals into the small run with impunity. Most are well behaved, but many are u controlled and uncontrollable.
As an example, I just returned from the park where some lady had a 65 lb pit bull mix in the small run. She assured me it was friendly, but then it proceeded to attack my 15 lb dog. Now I’m sure it was playing ... but a bite to the neck is a bite to the neck. It’s unsafe and the rules need to be followed and enforced.
