Any update on this? The hole is still there and people are dumping garbage behind the fence. There are also people trespassing back there and throwing rocks at the abandoned building's windows and adding graffiti.
city doesn't care guys i keep telling you this but you guys still don't seem to appreciate this fact. they LITERALLY DO NOT CARE. REVOLT NOW its the only way you're going to ever change the situation. I promise you nothing short of a revolt will fix this
The hole has not been fixed and neither has the second one. There are still people trespassing into that area on a daily basis. There is new graffiti going up and the building is deteriorating due to vandalism. This issue is getting worse.
Resident yup, it's like I said, the city doesn't care. Just like they don't care about the thief that keeps trespassing on everyone's properties in my neighborhood and stealing from them every week. Just like they didn't care when someone almost ran me over with their car intentionally at atlantic and challenger. just like they dont care about my noisy neighbors who haven't let me get a single day of peace for over a year. just like they don't care about all the boom cars and reckless drivers harassing our neighborhoods on a daily basis, or the transients urinating all over park street and dumping their liquor bottles on the sidewalk. they dont care about enforcing laws. thats why they go after easy targets and ticket law abiding citizens for doing 5 mph over the speed limit. they're just after our money. they want our tax dollars and to take even more money from us by citing us for trivial traffic infractions. they wont actually do anything about any real crime on this island because there's no money in it for them. all they care about is money. APD is an embarrassment to law enforcement
Lt. Hosh Durani was mass-closing issues the other day. I logged in to discover that he had mass-closed like 50 issues with his generic, copied and pasted "assigned to HLOs" message. He even included a link in his message that doesn't even work, evidently because he doesn't even bother reading the copied and pasted nonsense he posts himself to check it for errors. this is just their standard procedure, they just go and mass-close like 50 issues on this site on the same day without fixing them to make it look like they're fixing issues. It's a very dishonest and dirty tactic. later the city will try to brag about how much progress they've made and all th e issues they "addressed" (aka closed without fixing) on SCF, but it's a false metric for obvious reasons. It's frankly really disgusting that we as a city are OK with this sort of treatment of our citizens. We need to replace our city government ASAP
The hole hasn’t been fixed. The Terminal area is easily accessible (due to the hole) and vandals are continuing to graffiti and vandalize the abandoned buildings.
We are approaching month seven and as of today the hole hasn’t been repaired. Trespassers continue to vandalize the buildings via graffiti and breaking windows. There is also a homeless presence utilizing these abandoned spaces. It is simply not okay to allow this area to deteriorate.
That's cool I guess. I have no problem moving and taking my tax dollars with me and voting out deadbeat politicians come November. I have zero, repeat zero, faith in Alameda government to take care of this stuff since they have shown time and time again that they don't care. Ironically this development next to the Del Monte (like Alameda Landing) pays higher taxes than many of the other longtime residents, IIRC. Wouldn't it make sense to keep them happy?
241 days and still no resolve on this issue. The hole in the fence has not been repaired. This allows graffiti vandals and the homeless access to the area.
The hole was never fixed, it just got bigger and more accessible. The homeless are living inside the vacant buildings. Why are they not required to social distance like everyone else?
This issue has never been addressed. There is currently a homeless person living inside the abandoned building “A” on the Encinal Terminal. This individual as well as many others enter and exit through the fence holes daily. Will this issue ever be addressed?

re-opening this issue because "closed" does not mean "re-assigned."
"closed" means the issue was fixed. unless this issue is actually fixed dont close it. thats dishonest
