The repair of this creek is actually in Phase 2 engineering design right now in order to fix the erosion of the banks and improve drainage. The project requires that we get permitting from the Army Corp of Engineers and the IL Department of Natural Resources. With permit timing and available funds, we are expecting to start this construction in 2020. You will be notified of an informational meeting ahead of that as soon as we have drawings that we can present. In the meantime, our forestry crew will be out next week to assess the trees that are down. They will clear anything that could pose a hazard or flooding issue. However, clearing and cleaning of the area as a whole will not occur until the construction project.

The Village of Algonquin has resolved this issue.
