Welcome to Holyoke. Speed humps. So you want people instead of speeding up once with loud exhaust, you want them to speed up multiple times in between the humps (jumps for motorcycles)? Then driving super slow over the humps bumping the bass staying longer in front of the house. If they made it a one way on laurel it would not be a cut through but would make it a hassle to deal with rt 5 during the busy times. A couple people speeding ruin it for the hundreds of cars that drive down the road.

Oh and putting up the radar trailer just makes them see how high of a number they can get on the screen.

I want my neighborhood to be safer for my family and everyone who uses Laurel Street. I'm open to suggestions. I certainly don't want condescending attitude from my neighbors when I reach out to my city about an issue of safety. Please keep it kind and constructive. This is our neighborhood. We are the community. I hope you're more kind if we have an opportunity to meet in person. I wish you the best.

There was just another collision outside of my house on Laurel Street.

And another one on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019

We need a permanent, 24 hours a day solution to speeding on Laurel Street. Several times a day and during the night drivers treat it like the autobahn. Find a way to slow traffic down before someone gets really hurt.
