Description
We got NW /SW 91st St. labelled a "Scenic Road" some years ago. (Thank you both ladies). Even some still-sitting AC commiss's were unable to destroy our road by putting dangerous "swerving islands" in our road, and succeeded only in putting 2 wobble sections in the bike path (1 side only). When there are no dead trees lying on it, it is very nice.
AC Roads apparently still hate the Scenic Road designation and attempt to smash or destroy our significant trees and their over- hanging limbs whenever possible. They struck again early this week during another road repair. Heavy equipment with a straight blade went down the curbed south side at the NW/SW PostBox numbers switch. Its blade was employed to scrape bare most of the roots of the bigger trees on the south side of the small, almost non-existent ditch. Of course all of these scenic trees will die. Which was the intention of the AC engineers all along. This is a really Cowardly way to do County business. Ed ordered this same thing at my property at the top of this same hill, and all the big trees died.
