Justine @ Public Works never responds. This is Caltrans responsibility since it is owned by the State. COV only has to repair the City streets (from the intersection edge). Whoever the asphalt supplier was for this job & in American Canyon owe us a refind; it shouldn't be failing like this so soon. Good luck getting Caltrans to respond to their own notices.

It’s ridiculous how bad the road has eroded naturally. Sonoma Boulevard needs immediate attention and as tax payers, and citizens of the COV we need this fixed. Something or someone needs to escalate this above the COV and CalTrans. I’m thinking the governor or someone in the federal government needs to investigate this because our tax dollars are not being used properly whether it’s given to the COV or CalTrans. Let’s get this fixed.

I was hoping to hear from someone at the city with an update. I realize this is Cal Trans responsibility. Someone from the city of Vallejo should be on CT on our behalf.

I just drove to Napa, and it is interesting how the Napa portion of this very same road is very nice and smooth. Is Vallejo not worthy to get the same treatment?

Please COV officer with enough authority contact somebody that can fix this.

Caltrans is scheduled to start work on three intersections of Sonoma Blvd on April 7. The intersections are at Redwood St, Valle Vista Ave, and Tennessee St. In addition to repairing the road, Caltrans will install ADA compliant curb ramps and signal poles, and this may require relocating various assets, poles, cables, and wiring.
