Agree whole wholeheartedly! There is no excuse for the city's slowness to install no smoking signs. I've even offered to volunteer with others on street corners with banners informing public of the ordinance. And suggested city mail to every business in the zone and every household in multiunit bldgs of the ordinance yet they ignore. Pretty sure ssf is corrupt

Smoking is a huge problem because of the stinky second-hand smoke and because people throw butts onto the street or out of their cars. It takes 5 years for one butt to decompose. They make their way into our stormdrains, pollute our water, and poison wildlife.

Tell everyone: no smoking with 30' of buildings, in city pkg lots, in parked cars

The applicable code for the initial report prohibits smoking on the *entire block* bordered by Walnut, Grand, Maple, and Miller. There's at least one new sign that has been posted - on the patio of the Grand Ave library.
