I say a driver almost hit 2 other drivers last night trying to change lanes while the straight was green and the left was red (driver was in center lane).

Thank you for reporting your concern to City of Cambridge via Commonwealth Connect. We have reviewed the information you provided our staff and will be investigating this issue further. The contractor is in the process of scheduling pavement marking work. In preparation for this change and to coincide with the signal work, all signage was changed to no longer indicate that the left from the middle lane is allowed. Cambridge Police have also been monitoring this location. We expect replacement Lane Use arrow signs to be installed at the same time as the new roadway arrows.

Why does it take so long to paint the lane markings? Don't blame the contractor. The City is the client.

All the markings have now been painted, EXCEPT for the middle lane straight arrow. The only marking that matters is missing. Drove it tonight.

Scout is right. The middle lane still has the barely visible temporary spray painted arrow. Nothing was permanently painted in the middle lane where it should’ve been. And what is do hard about putting a traffic pattern change sign up on the traffic light to alert drivers. My passenger side mirror got clipped this morning because someone was turning left from the middle lane. Near accidents every day!!

Why is this closed? The issue is NOT fixed. They haven’t fixed the middle lane!
