Q. What is the problem?
A. This sinkhole has opened 3 times and 3 times Harford County Water & Sewer and Highways have poured cement and dirt to cover the problem. There are multiple spots within the community with similar opening. At the top of Potomac and Elk there is a drain with the PVC exposed from the ground. I have asked Harford County and MRA Developement to look into this problem and we only get quick fix resolutions. We were told that our HOA would have to pay for the correct of pipes and I pushed back on that because this problem has been going on before Ryan’s and after Ryan homes began to build here. Also, they stated and marked the edges where they were to dig on the property of 903 and 905 Shenandoah Ct. Those marking were made around Thanksgiving and Steve Ferrell, 903 resident, was told they were coming back to dig. That never happened either.

A. In between 903 & 905 Shenandoah Ct, on Rogers Ford Ln and on Potomac Rd.

Thank you in advance. I have photos of the original hole and every time they have attempted to cover it. The hole expands more each time. There are drainage issues that no one wants to take accountability for.
We had a meeting with Mike Perron last April and he asked Bob Ward to fix some of the flooding issues the residents along Trimble were having. As far as I know their basements are not flooding anymore.
I simply ask that the drainage issues are resolved. There’s stignit water all over here since the community has been completed. We were told because our street has had the bond lifted that Harford County could not help yet that is who continues to come to pour cement and dirt.

This issue has not been resolved. We have multiple sinkholes that have not had any attention at all. The next before last the hole I originally reported has reopened. Another representative came out and filled cement and dirt into another hole that anointed out.
These are not being fixed but rather bandaged. There are multiple children around including my own that ride their bikes and I would hope for none of them to get harmed by flying in over the summer.
There’s huge hole as you walk down Rogers Ford next the the Sewer as well. Also, in between the homes of Rogers Ford approaching Potomac Road.

I did not call because I do not understand why someone from Public Works needs to speak with me. The issues just need to be fixed. If there is a dire need to communicate with me than I ask you send in via US mail.
These holes continue to form and has created space between the soil and cement which are creating gaps around the sidewalks or have sunken in. All problems are around the Harford County drains. These are extreme hazards!

I AM EXTREMLY CONCERNED FOR THIS NEIGHBORHOOD!!
Once again today, to innocent workers came out to pour more cement.
The sidewalk has collapsed and broken due to the amount of water damage. The hole has reopened multiple times and expands larger than its prior size.
Please send an engineer and a Harford County Representative our to inspect the proper way to fix this problem.
Confusing why Public Works continues to pour continuous amounts of cement on a REAL issue of water erosion, water backup and possible Foster Branch Stream contamination (this stream flows into the Gunpowder as I know you are aware).

Please let me know if Harford County is not the correct entity to contact. I assumed it was Harford County since this is a New Development. When I sent an email to MRA Developers 3 years ago, they told me to contact Harford County. I told them this community is still being developed and inspectors are here daily. I was not contacting anyone while under construction. Now that we are a few months out from when the community was completed, there has not been any resolution.
The existing homes on Trimble use to have (up until 2 weeks ago) septic tanks and wells. One of the neighbors had two septic tanks in which one had a crack top. This is why I bring up contamination. The toxic bacteria was all over a home at the bottom of Shenandoah Court to the point that it had to be dug up down to 4-5 feet.

Good afternoon,
We have camera all county pipes and drains and found nothing wrong with the systems.
The sidewalk is cracked around the man hole- waiting for it to settle ( not sink anymore) before a new sidewalk is considered.
It is the common practice to pour flow fill mix in a hole. They did a major sewer repair job behind 903 Shenandoah and for some reason the hole is not any bigger and we filled it today with dirt and will wait a month and see if the hole is fixed. If it is... we will the repair the sidewalk. Right now it’s not a danger to the public and we will keep a close eye on it.

The hole is larger than before. It expands around the cement pour every single time. The opposite side of the repair sign has sunken as well and the cable box is lowered due to it. I’m not certain what the comment about the hole not being bigger is about but you’re wrong.
Our children are not able to play safety, if that is not a danger to Harford County, than we will wait for an injury.
No Need for Septic as I stated they have Public Water and Sewer now.
I will take this information back to my neighbors and let them decide who should be contacted next.

Update:
Highways went out this morning to check the area.
1) Sink hole has not come back yet so if this stay like this, Highways will pull the broken sidewalk in a couple weeks and repair it.
2) There is an area that Water & Sewer is going to check the clean out going to the house.
3) The last area is not a county issue.

Just to reiterate prior postings, the small sinkholes have not been addressed. I am not certain what is not a county problem. The hole next to the Harford County sewer or the water pipe with a 15” lower elevation around it?
This is why I offered to show all of the holes next to Harford County sewers. There are multiples ones all around the community not just on my street. This was mentioned originally and throughout these post.
The other side of the sidewalk elevation is parallel to the original repair. If you fixed the one side the other needs to be fixed too……. That area was actually marked to be repaired and than the plans changed once the Trimble Road residents decided to get public water.
And if it is not a County issue then who shall I be contacting to repair these drainage and water issues?

Everything that was county responsibility has been fixed by Highways and Water & Sewer.
