They really do need to fix up that playground. I used to take my granddaughters there but the swings are broken, and it is very dirty so we no longer go.
The swings have been replaced and look nice, the only negative that I saw today was the beoken railing and propped up railing that the kids were climbing
So, set up a tent with refreshments and organize a neighborhood cleanup, get local businesses involved giving them the opportunity to reach out to the community and network.
Work gets done, park gets cleaned, people have fun, and promotes not only community service but community togetherness as well.
This isn't that hard people...the same effort that is put into fundraising and campaigning can be done also for community projects, for little to no cost to the community.
Took a closer look at the pic...what is that Tar underneath all the playground equipment??? Who's brilliant bonehead idea was that?
No mother in their right mind is going to want to have their child playing on a playground that they can fall down and crack their head open.
After a community clean up...we then need run the numbers on getting a bulldozer in there to rip all that crap up, a landscaper to put some green down, and new/used equipment or better yet petition Lego to donate playground equipment. This place will never be used as a real park, until the kids can play safely without getting hurt.
Good morning,
The martial you see under the play equipment in the photo is not tar it is certified rubber play ground surfacing. Since this photo was taken the park has been cleaned and the brush along the fence line has been cut. We have ordered 50 yards of play mulch but it has been to wet to spared. We are rebuilding the railings for the ramp that has been vandalized and should be replaced soon.
Thank you
