I just thought that I'd comment on this subject one more time in the event that my computer might not be working correctly as I've heard no feed back on this issue . It's been my experience that generally a comment is acknowledged in a couple of hours during regular working days. Are we to assume that Waste Management will not be sending a second truck back through to pick up the recycling that was missed? A simple yes or no would clear the issue up.

I had conversation today with gentleman in city community services truck and he had no information or knowledge of previous road closures or non pickup of recycled and
I asked if he could pass the question on to proper department within the city and he said ok but made no notes and offered no other suggestions of what to do except put cans away and get out again next collection day. City unfortunately often doesn’t acknowledge if they don’t have an answer.

In response to above, I put my can away and will again will put out on next recycle pickup day!

I was approached this afternoon by a Waste Management crew who said they had been sent out by the City for a bulk pickup but were unable to find it. I asked the driver if he'd had any instructions on the recycling and he stated that he did not but passed it on to his supervisor as part of his report on being unable to locate the bulk items. He further stated that it looked as if the recycling had not been picked up on a majority of the west end of the development. We too have moved our recycling can to the back yard. Unfortunately there will be many who will remain uninformed and will not.

Can anyone tell the community why this issue was not addressed by any governmental entity? Obviously the issue is no longer a problem but; instead the problem is now a lack of communication in regards to it's original submittal . Is the way this was handled by the city the way that the city addresses issues that it has no answer for? Perhaps we'd have been better off just emailing one of the city counsel members?
