Description

This playground sign is not seen by drivers due to the plants and it's location being one house in from the corner of 70Ave and 88A Street.

Drivers come around the corner and accelerate to the 68th Ave intersection, when they should be slowing down. The situation worsens for the safety of children and pedestrians because this row of houses do not have garages or driveways, which means many vehicles are parking on the street and moving traffic cannot spot children crossing the road to and from the playground.

This playground zone needs to be extended and the signage needs to be repositioned for safety.

Side note, if the Police every want to capture some speeders, they just have to monitor this playground zone. I'd say 5% of vehicles actually slow down to 30km. Most speed up. :(
