Description
Request placing a gate or creating an opening in the black cyclone fence located on Aldridge Creek Greenway at the southern Hobbs Rd Crossing. When Aldridge Creek over-flows the greenway at Hobbs, the only way to pass through to the other side of the Greenway is to cut through Challenger School. This over-flow happens multiple times per year – see photo from this morning. Folks have improvised and created a makeshift opening in the cyclone fence (see bottom photo), which the city has needlessly paid to repair several times. A “real official” opening or gate would not only look better, it will better protect the children of Challenger School from the increased Greenway traffic when Aldridge Creek over flows the Greenway.

Hi DB,
Please note that when part of the greenway is flooded, the greenway is closed, so no one should be cutting through Challenger School (and of course not destroying property.) We will work with General Services to have the fence fixed. Thank you!
