This corner is a mess in general and highly unsafe. The crosswalks aren't even properly marked. The city needs to looks as this immediately before closing the ticket.

I guess treatment will only be warranted when a tragedy happens here. Absolutely the wrong approach and not at all in line with the city's Vision Zero policy.

The Department receives many more requests for traffic calming all over the City than can be addressed at any given time, given limited resources. It is a challenge to balance installing safety enhancements equitably in all areas of the City in the highest priority locations. That being said, the approach that has been taken is to incorporate safety improvements in ongoing roadway maintenance and restriping projects as much as possible. The Department does have a plan this year to extend the protected bike lanes on Newark Avenue from their current terminus at 5th Street to this intersection. When that happens, the Department can evaluate enhancing safety at this intersection for pedestrians as well as cyclists.

Please advise. This corner is still a huge pedestrian safety concern.

This is still on our list and we are still prioritizing the 423 requests. We definitely want to be able to address every safety concern, but need to be fair to every section of the City,

In the notes I see that delineators will be added for extra safety.
