Thank you for your submission. After evaluation of the intersection we have determined that the proper signage and striping is implemented at this intersection for a right turn only lane. We will look into further making this right turn only lane more apparent to drivers.

Please consider placing signage and striping way before the intersection (cars don’t realize it’s a right turn only lane until they are essentially at the light; by that time it’s too late to get into the left lane as traffic backs up pretty far back).

Correct. there are signs and proper lane striping in place but as the above comment notes the left lane backs up pretty far back and while I agree that some drivers may not see the sign and lane striping before it's too late, I think a much greater concern are the people using the right lane to bypass the back up in the left lane. I see this on my morning commute daily with right lane drivers continuing straight instead of taking the right turn causing an extremely dangerous merge situation for the left lane drivers who are following the traffic laws.

Consider parking a traffic cop there. They will rake in the dough from people who do not obey the signage. They may even witness an accident or two.

Seems to be a dumb traffic choice. If BOTH lanes had straight and turn arrows, it would alleviate the back up and illegal mergers. The cars are going straight within 2 lanes to Newark anyway.

Improved signage hasn't alleviated the problem. And unfortunately, many impatient drivers honk whether the car in front of them is waiting to turn or to (illegally) go straight through the intersection.
