  It's been 3 weeks since this was reported, yet it has NOT been addressed. Mandela Parkway is PUBLIC land, not for private people to come and set up residence. It is one of the few nice streets in West Oakland. It is not fair that taxpayers cannot access it because private people [who are not paying taxes] decided to live there. Please GET RID OF THIS ENCAMPMENT! It is a public health hazard with the trash and feces they continue to dump on the ground. My taxes are going up, yet the list of streets I can no longer use (ever expanding swaths of Wood, Pine, Campbell, 17th, 16th, and more ) continues to go up too. When will the city address this?!

  Unfortunately for West Oakland, there are not enough lawyers living in this neighborhood to get any respect from city mgt.

  There are now huge piles of dumped tan bark (why??) and graffiti on both the Mandela and 16th side of the building. I see people walking their dogs to and from the dog daycare in the middle of the road because it's crowded/unsafe on the sidewalks.

  It’s disgusting, foul, and now, dangerous. Human waste dumped into sewers and @#$% bottles tossed into median. Piles of garbage into bike lane and now street. I saw a girl get hit by a car yesterday when she was riding her bike because cyclists have to ride in the middle of the street to avoid encampment overflow.

  Abandoned cars and Overflowing garbage all the way into bike lane and street. A poor girl was knocked over by a car yesterday because cyclists have to ride in the street to avoid encampment. Dirty and dangerous.
