Months ago I asked for some necessary pruning of 2 city trees in front of 19 Beech Street and is it possible that this can still be done so late in the season? It took years for these trees to reach a nice height. Given that there are so many trees failing around Cambridge and so many new baby sized trees are being put in I really can't understand why the trees in front of my house are not being addressed. A few months ago I had a message from the city saying they had looked at the trees and they did indeed need to be pruned in order to allow air to circulate and keep these trees alive and healthy! Would someone from DPW or City Arborist please reply to my questions? I am hoping to be reassured that these trees will survive given their current unhealthy crowding. Thank you.
