Is it possible this person lives on your street? I am confused about the issue. Doesn't everyone park their cars on their street and move them around day to day?

Agree Leah. Some homes have small driveways. If the plates are up to date and it’s not in a “no parking” area then there is no violation. Not sure what “Willy nilly” parking means but if you park in the “middle” of the street, that is an issue.

Dispatched to 151 E Maplehurst on an abandoned vehicle. I observed a White 2004 Chevy pickup truck bearing MI LP 7LLY19. The vehicle came back to 140 E Maplehurst, I attempted to make contact with the Registered Owner with negative results. I tagged the vehicle with a red tag.

Vehicle was moved upon re-check. State law and city ordinance both allow a vehicle to be parked LEGALLY on the street for no more than 48 hours before it has to be moved. We record both wheel valve locations to determine whether a vehicle has been moved. Unfortunately, if an owner moves a vehicle 6 inches, and it can be verified by the movement of the valve locations, by law we are unable to take enforcement action. We can't do what we can't do.
