  There should be a stop sign on Claremont at this intersection. Its dangerous and it would also help to have more police presence in the area. Maybe as a deterrent to speeders and people who don't stop at the stop signs

  I also see that this intersection continues to be a safety hazard (see previous posts), with a fatal accident occurring yesterday. Please do something to make this safe for pedestrians and drivers alike. Cars drive too fast on Claremont and much too fast turning on to Hillegass. They then drive much too fast on Hillegass, drive recklessly, and run through stop signs. Also there are significant visibility concerns (trees, lighting, parked cars, etc.) on Hillegass. Thank you

  People drive over 40 mph from College toward Forest and the freeway onramp. Not quite so fast toward College but certainly over the speed limit. With pedestrians and children crossing in this residential area, and no protected crosswalks, it's amazing there haven't been more fatalities. The Hillegass/Claremont intersection if difficult to negotiate and during rush hour especially dangerous. Personally I would like to see some kind of road diet, but at least we could have protected sidewalks and better control over these 5/6 way intersections. Forest needs a protected left turn and Hillegaas/60th/Claremont, protection for pedestrians and control over turning.
