The loop wires embedded in the asphalt are no longer being used, the approach is covered by a camera detector. Two more cameras are planned for the other two approaches also, as the pavement further deteriorates.

OK, but what about the pothole, which collects water that splashes up on anyone waiting for the light as the cars fly through it in excess of posted 15 mph speed limit? For what it’s worth, they also go barreling down Carrigan, toward East Ave, also well in excess of speed limit, and not infrequently ignore no right on red when illuminated.

Had earlier left a message for UVM and just received an answer. We (Public Works) maintain the signal. Was unclear who maintains the road. Found out this falls within UVM boundaries. UVM will have someone scout out and take care of the pothole. The Department of Public Works has resolved this request. Thanks for helping to keep Burlington a great place to live and work.
