Description
I’m not sure what these things are but they’re very unsightly and they seem like they are unnecessarily exposed. Is there any way to get rid of these or cover them in a more appropriate manner?
The exact location is 30th Ave., North, just east of 23rd St. North

Verizon has been contacted and replied as follows:
These type facilities are necessary and an important part of how Verizon provides and maintains services to its customers. The larger structure is a Cross Connect locations where Verizon connects customers to the facilities going back to their main switching office. The white equipment beside the Cross Connect is called a repeater and is used to maintain service levels of circuits to customers. And the metal stake closer to the roadway is used to mark the location of a buried pressurized service cable, as well as protection for the copper air tubing that allows us to monitor the pressure in the that same buried cable. I am not clear as to how these are being designated as a hazard but Frontier has the same type equipment scattered throughout The City.
Verizon is looking into the possibility to be able to have the Cross Connect painted but the facilities can not be removed at this time.
