Take out enough brick to make the cover level with the grass, do not add another course to raise it higher. You can see from the damage on the cover that the cover is hit because it sits too high. The last time this was repaired the cover was raised higher. This causes vehicles to hit the concrete cover since it hangs out above the road. This also causes damage to my riding mower.
Do not raise the level of the lid. Make it level with the grass to prevent damage to my riding mower. It was too high and hangs out above the road which caused it to be hit again.
