Neither does any other city government official. The entire city government, and all of APD are completely useless. We are on our own out here. Can't count on them for ANYTHING.
Thank you for your notification. The Homeless Liaison Officers (HLO) are aware of this area, and they have coordinated with various City resources to offer services to the involved persons. The HLOs will continue to monitor and work towards an alternative plan.
The Alameda Police Department strives to provide quality service to all community members with respect, concern, care, dignity, and equal treatment. We are aware of the on-going complaints regarding homeless encampments and the Alameda Police Department is working closely with the City’s Community Development Department to address, understand, and act on issues involving homelessness in Alameda. Homeless, in itself, is not a crime, although we are aware of the community impacts a homeless encampment creates. The Alameda Police Department strictly adheres to legal requirements before displacing a homeless encampment and simultaneously provides community and County resources in an effort to achieve a functioning zero homeless population for Alameda. The City of Alameda’s Coalition Advancing Resources, Efforts, and Support (CARES) for Alameda’s homeless was initiated in early 2018 (formerly the Homeless Outreach Team) with the purpose of bringing together Alameda organizations with the combined goal of addressing homelessness. These groups include the Community Paramedics Program, Homeless Liaison Officer program, Community Development Department, community-based social service providers, faith-based coalitions, and the Alameda Housing Authority. In an effort to keep the Alameda community informed of the City’s efforts to address our homeless challenges, please reference the below link. Please note that seeclickfix.com is not monitored 24/7. If you are reporting an emergency, or potential hazard to the community, contact our non-emergency line at 510-337-8340 or dial 911.
reopening this issue because "assigned to hlos" does not mean "closed" stop abusing the "Close" button to sweep issues under the rug. we know you guys dont want to do your jobs but thats no excuse for closing issues without fixing them
Im not surprised. That's why I immediately re-opened this when I saw Lt. Hosh Durani fake-close it. They fraudulently close thousands of issues on this site reporting the same thing. They've done it to my reports too. They do this because the site automatically 'archives' closed reports after a certain period of time, and once that has happened you can't re-open or comment on it. It's just their clever little way of sweeping these issues under the rug without actually fixing them. Remember to always immediately re-open any issue they close or it'll end up archived and you won't be able to update it anymore. If they close it and the site archives it, you'll have to re-submit the entire report and lose your paper trail documenting the issues over time.
It's pretty disgusting what a corrupt and worthless government we have out here.
