Nothing has been done, no one has contacted us...4 YEARS and counting....

The City engineer, Bret Butler came by the house for another issue (Sound barrier wall) and he took a look at the swale problem. He said there's not a lot of money in the budget to fix it (although he acknowledged there is a problem) but would try and squeeze some funds for it. Problem is still there.

The City of Plantation Engineering Dept. is aware of the issue. Currently, the City does not have funding to implement a solution. However, when a funding source becomes available, this issue will be addressed along wth other similar issues throughout the City. The resident is encouraged to communicate directly with the City via the Engineering Dept. as this is not a FDOT matter.

Nothing to update. Nothing has been done. I pressure clean the swale/curb every month because of the dirt/mud buildup from water settling on the area. See pics after a 15 minutes shower! imagine when it rains for an hour or two what it looks like?

Oscar, it is understandable that the city does not have funds for an immediate solution. However, you may want to draw attention to your issue by seeking out other local residents who are having similar problems with infrastructure issues (and asking them to weigh in or post their own photos), by forwarding this to neighbors on your street, to your local elected officials, and/or by alerting the local media (who may themselves know of similar issues).

I'm sure there are others in your town who would be willing to help you push for a "fix" more rapidly. Good luck and please post updates here when you have them.

I could swim out of my driveway today (day before thanksgiving) it's been raining all night and there's a lake in fron t of my house!

Still waiting...yet the City of Plantation is raising our taxes to "fix" street issues? The City of Plantation also received several hundreds of thousands of dollars from the feds for public works in the last few months...but I still have a lake everytime it rains in my driveway....

still waiting.........Can you imagine it's now a constant lake with the daily summer rains...the gutter is always green wil mold and slippery...
This is isn't the only issue, now the wall in my back yard facing Sunrise Blvd.is not finished...guess why? because there is a main water valve that is located where the retainer wall goes...hum...they couldn't figure this out BEFORE they put the wall up? So much for engineering...By the way they siad it'd be a few weeks before they'd resolve this issue..it's been two months...
