Thank you for contacting the City of Raleigh. Your service request ID is #462033. We will be posting additional updates about your request as we have them.
Hikenbike, while I don’t necessarily disagree with your desired result I do question the suggested path forward. Essentially we have a three lane road that abruptly changes to two lanes without warning because of the parked cars. If we’re going to park there, the roadway should be marked to ensure safety of parked cars and motoring public.
Thank you for notifying staff of your concern. Staff is unsure what day of the weekend this issue is occurring. However; if it is during church service on Sunday the City' Municipal Code does have a provision which allow for motorist to park in areas marked as no parking on Sundays during church service.

This particular image was on a Sunday and was near a church, so I can appreciate the code exception. At the same time this is a 3-lane, marked travel way. Approaching motorists have no indication that the lane will end due to parked cars. How do we differentiate where this exception makes sense and where it doesn’t? That is, can I park in the travel way of Wade avenue on Sunday mornings? Glenwood? Capital? Perhaps the code exception should be limited to unmarked roadways? I agree, this is less of a SeeClickFix issue at this point. Thanks for the responses.
