I agree with Mnlakerguy.

I accept that the city cannot work inside the tracks. I do not accept that the city cannot force the railroad to fix this. The city needs to force this issue.

Gflinsch, I think you might actually have to contact the streets department directly to get anything accomplished. I don't think 311 will do anything about it....

Funny. I just called 311 and they said I have to call or contact Canadian Railway. Interesting 311 couldn't mention that here....

I heard back Canadian Pacific Railway via email already. They wanted the address, so I sent them that and also attached the picture that is posted here.

Well. Heard back again from CPR. They told me to contact Minnesota Commercial Railway. So, will do that now.

Just received call and they were already out there today putting hot asphalt down for a temporary fix. They will be permanently fixing the area, but he didn't mention when.

Glad they are on it, but sad to see the process one has to go through to report something like this. No wonder not many do.
