This area, and also Memorial Drive near MIT and the Museum of Science, are very dangerous places to walk. MassDOT seems disinterested in addressing safety issues and policing these areas, and I have never been able to talk to someone on the phone at MassDOT who is concerned about these issues. Have they ever responded when you share a reported complaint?

Can you consider compiling a list of these complaints and sharing with MassDOT, City Councilors, and State Reps/Senators?

We do regularly coordinate with MassDOT and DCR on projects and operations along Memorial Drive, Land Boulevard, and O'Brien Highway/Cragie Bridge. There are several upcoming projects that will significantly improve safety for people walking and biking along and across all of these roadways. We do not unfortunately have the ability to control enforcement efforts on these roadways, however we do share all reports with the appropriate agencies.
