Description
I drive out of Jersey City every morning by taking a right off of JFK on the street north of and parallel to the covered roadway portion of 139. As you come up to the traffic light near the circle, there is often confusion among motorists due to the width of the roadway. There are in reality only two lanes, one to turn right only, and another to go straight to go through/around the circle or turn right also.
Often times, a mystical third lane is created and can cause issues with merging and crossing the intersection or motorists who use the left lane to turn right at the light.
The paint for the lanes and turn directions is very faded, and there is only one turn direction street sign that is very close to the light. The safety of this intersection would be vastly improved by repainting the lines and adding an additional sign closer to JFK so that drivers know better where they need to be.
